Next week in the House priority will be given to the next stages of the Social Security (Entitlement Cards) Amendment Bill, the Social Security Amendment Bill, the Arbitration Amendment Bill, and the Succession (Homicide) Bill. Wednesday is a membersβ day and Thursday is Budget day.

Can the Leader of the House tell us how much legislation is likely to flow from his Budget initiatives, whether any of those will need to be dealt with under urgency, and whether he intends moving some of the raft of bills that appear to be deadlocked on the current Order Paper, meaning the Government has only about eight Government bills available to it at the moment?
