I raise a point of order, Madam Speaker. It relates to a matter raised at question time yesterday, and I seek your guidance, perhaps, about the right way of going about it. The Minister of Education, the Hon Steve Maharey, incorrectly answered a supplementary question yesterday when—and this relates directly to the issue at hand—he said that the parents who are involved in a website petition that is currently running do not currently have children involved in the early childhood education sector. That statement is absolutely wrong, and I have had an email from the secretary of that group, Kirsty Bamford, who has asked me to raise this matter in the House today. She has stated that each and every one of the group of eight do have children of an eligible age, and that their numbers are growing daily. She asked why else they would all invest so much time and energy in holding Labour accountable in respect of its broken promise.

💬 Madam SPEAKER: I thank the member for raising that point. It is, of course, a matter for debate. The member has raised it, but I suggest she raises it in the general debate.
