🗣️ Speech Hon Gerry Brownlee (New Zealand National Party — Member for Ilam)
Time unknown

I raise a point of order, Madam Speaker. I seek leave of the House to move a motion that was lodged with the Clerk’s Office this morning and will appear on the Order Paper for the next sitting day of the House. It reads that this House expresses its deep concern at the allegations left unresolved against Taito Phillip Field in the report of Noel Ingram QC, and notes that the reputation of the whole of Parliament and each of its members will suffer serious damage until such allegations are properly resolved, and therefore refers the Ingram report to the Privileges Committee, with the direction that it should make such inquiry as necessary to provide this House with full and final resolution of the matter.

💬 Madam SPEAKER: Leave is sought. Is there any objection? There is objection.
