It has come to my attention that my answers to oral question No. 8 on 2 May 2006 and to oral question No. 3 on 3 May 2006 were incorrect. In answer to questions from Phil Heatley MP, I said that the chair of Housing New Zealand Corporation had informed me promptly of allegations made by a former contractor. I also confirmed my answers in reply to a written question from Mr Heatley. Mr Snedden, the chair, has now advised me that he has discovered that he was sent a fax containing the settlement agreement on 24 March 2006, 12 days earlier than he originally advised. I am therefore taking the first available opportunity in the House to correct my answers. I have also lodged a corrected answer to the written question asked by Mr Heatley.
