I wish to make a personal explanation under Standing Order 350. My explanation relates to an email sent by me to an Auckland secondary school principal, which has been the subject of recent publicity. I wish to apologise for the email and for the sending of the email, and apologise to all who found it objectionable. In particular, I apologise to the recipient of the email. I accept full and sole responsibility for what happened. It was, by my own standards, not good enough.
