Business Statement
Next week the House will go into a 1-week adjournment. When the House resumes on Tuesday, 6 December, priority will be given to the Electoral (Integrity) Amendment Bill, the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms (Approvals and Enforcement) Amendment Bill, the Statutes Amendment Bill (No 5), and the second readings of the Taxation (Annual Rates and Urgent Measures) Bill and the Subordinate Legislation (Confirmation and Validation) Bill. Priority will also be given to first readings on the Order Paper. Wednesday, of course, will be a membersβ day.
I thank the Leader of the House for that indication of business, and I ask him whether he expects the Electoral (Integrity) Amendment Bill to pass because of coalition agreements or because of a general will in the House for that to happen.
There are no coalition agreements that refer to the Electoral (Integrity) Amendment Bill.
