Business of the House
Time unknown
I raise a point of order, Mr Speaker. I apologise for interrupting the debate, but I suppose, to put it in simple language, that New Zealand First has been caught somewhat unawares. We did not anticipate this urgent debate, and Mr Peters is programmed to travel tonight, so I am seeking the leave of the House to defer his Principles of the Treaty of Waitangi Deletion Bill.
Time unknown
Do you want to talk to us about it—talk first?
The ASSISTANT SPEAKER (Hon Clem Simich): Yes, I think that that would be a wise course of action. In the case of leave, it needs to be sorted out beforehand please.
