Next week in the House priority will be given to the remaining stages of the Social Security (Social Assistance) Amendment Bill and the Statutes Amendment Bill (No 4), and the second reading of the Ngāti Tuwharetoa (Bay of Plenty) Claims Settlement Bill. Wednesday is a members’ day, and members might care to know that Lesley Soper’s maiden speech will take place following the general debate on Wednesday. If there is any time available, priority will also be given to first readings on the Order Paper.
