Points of Order — Chamber—Television Cameras
I raise a point of order, Madam Speaker. Under the Rt Hon Jonathan Hunt, cameras were not allowed to take pictures of Ministers or MPs asleep. I am interested in whether you, as the new Speaker, will be enforcing that rule, or whether that is no longer the rule. Could you please inform the House what the rule on cameras taking pictures of Ministers asleep is and, indeed, what action you have taken?
💬 Madam SPEAKER: I have the matter under consideration. Once I have made a decision, then I shall, of course, inform the House.
Madam Speaker, my question to you was quite simple. We have a rule. Is it still the rule? Is the Speaker enforcing it—yes or no?
💬 Madam SPEAKER: The rules have not changed, but I have the specific matter under consideration.
