I have received an application under Standing Order 373 from John Carter, seeking to debate the report tabled yesterday on the acquisition and introduction into service of light armoured vehicles. This is a particular case of recent occurrence involving ministerial responsibility, but this matter has been the subject of a number of reports and consideration over a period of time and consequently I do not consider the tabling of the report yesterday requires the immediate attention of the House. The application is accordingly declined.
