🗣️ Speech Hon Gerry Brownlee (New Zealand National Party — Member for Ilam)
Time unknown

I raise a point of order, Mr Speaker. I seek leave of the House for an urgent debate.

💬 Mr SPEAKER: On what subject?

I am pleased you asked. It is very clear from the answers given by the Minister for Local Government that for some time in the future we can expect major cities to be without governance, we can expect hospitals throughout the country to be without governance, we are likely to have to have special legislation in the House—

💬 Mr SPEAKER: The member has indicated roughly the subject of the debate. Please be seated. Leave is sought. Is there any objection? There is.
