Urgent Debates Declined — Prisons—Overcrowding
🗣️ Speech
Mr SPEAKER
Time unknown
I have received a letter from Stephen Franks seeking to debate under Standing Order 373 the issue of overcrowding in prisons and police jails in two reported statements by Ministers. The Ministers’ comments relate to actions that are likely to occur in the near future. There is therefore no particular case of recent occurrence that would give grounds for a debate. The application is declined.
