Points of Order — Unparliamentary Language—Minister's Comment

I raise a point of order, Mr Speaker. I want to raise an issue with you for consideration over the Easter break. Yesterday in the House a Government Minister referred to members on this side of the House by using the term “born-again Horis”. I want to know whether that was parliamentary, and whether it is a term we would be able to use in the future.

I heard the phrase; I was in the Chair. If I had thought that that referred to any member of this Parliament, not only would the member have been asked to withdraw and apologise but his speech would have been terminated. I understood the member referred to people outside this House. I still regard the phrase as very infelicitous, and that word can be looked up in the dictionary if members are unaware of what it means.
