Points of Order β Australian Aviator, Mr Jon Johanson
I raise a point of order, Mr Speaker. I seek leave to make a very brief plea in a motion to the House to show understanding and empathy towards the pioneering spirit of Australian aviator Mr Jon Johanson, who has been refused the sale of fuel by the New Zealand Government to enable him to continue to fly his plane on from the New Zealand base in Antarctica.
π¬ Mr SPEAKER: Leave is sought to move that motion. Is there any objection? There is.
I raise a point of order, Mr Speaker. It is the time of Christmas, and I think that you should perhaps take some action to try to record this Houseβs disgust at the way in which the Government is treating this matter.
π¬ Mr SPEAKER: The member will be opening his Christmas presents a little early if he is not careful.
