πŸ—£οΈ Speech Mr SPEAKER
Time unknown

Murray Smith wishes to debate an announcement by the Minister for Social Development and Employment that section 59 of the Crimes Act, which permits reasonable force against children, will be repealed. This is a particular case of recent occurrence involving ministerial responsibility, but as the Minister indicated that a time frame of 2 years and legislation will be needed to effect it, there is no ground for an urgent debate on it today.
