Estimates Debate — Vote Arts, Culture and Heritage agreed to.
I raise a point of order, Mr Speaker. Thinking about how exciting this is for listeners, I suggest that it might be an idea for you, with the leave of the Committee, to start reading out all the votes under each Minister’s portfolios until someone seeks a call. For example, you could start putting the next set of votes—Communications Security and Intelligence, Ministerial Services, and so on—and keep going until someone seeks the call. Let us do the votes together to speed things up. The debate is a time-limited one, and we do not want to spend our whole time reading out all the portfolios.
It might be an idea to slightly modify that, Mr Chairman. You could just run down the list, calling the votes until you get to one that somebody wants to take a call on. The question could then be put on the votes on which no call is received. We will then know which select committee chairperson is involved.
All through at once? OK, we will have a go at that.
