Business Statement
, on behalf of the Leader of the House. Next week in the House it is the Governmentβs intention to make progress on the first reading of the Holidays Bill, the remaining stages of the Television New Zealand Bill, and the Government Superannuation Fund Amendment Bill (No 2), and the second reading of the Taxation (Annual Rates, Maori Organisations, Taxpayer Compliance and Miscellaneous Provisions) Bill.
Noting that the Government saw fit to hold a press conference late last week advertising changes to the Resource Management Act that would allow numerous projects of national interest to progress under a different regime, can the Leader of the House give us some indication of when that legislation may get to the House, so that it becomes a reality rather than just a vague hope for the future?
I cannot at this point, but I will inform the member as soon as I am able.
