Employment (Pay Equity and Equal Pay) Bill
First Reading
Time unknown
I rise in support of the Employment (Pay Equity and Equal Pay) Bill for a number of reasons, but the primary reason is that I have an interest in this bill. There was an implication from the Opposition that crusty old white guys like me do not particularly have much of an interest in this, but I do, because I have two daughters—two capable daughters—and I expect them to be treated as equally, fairly, and reasonably as my sons. For that reason I have a strong interest in this bill, and I commend it to the House.

📋 We've linked this vote to our "Equal pay for women" policy - our best judgment is that
a vote for this is a vote against Equal pay for women.
